Warranty can only apply to products supplied and finished by Capital Millwork in a controlled indoor environment, and cannot exceed the purchase price.

Warranty will not cover any installation or removal, labor or travel time of any kind nor any related products used along with our product.

DISCLAIMERS

Capital Millwork cannot warrant color or grain match between orders, a consistent look after finishing (or upon touch up) nor replacement items completed after installation due to natural characteristics.

- Capital Millwork uses the finest, furniture-grade wood available for our products. Because these are a product of nature, variations in color and grain are to be expected.

- While your products will have the same basic appearance as our samples, they will be absolutely unique and perhaps noticeably different. The natural aging or darkening of wood color and the inherent growth characteristics of wood will create variation. We believe this is the beauty of nature and not a defect.

- All finishes are susceptible to discoloration due to airborne particles such as cooking, grilling, smoke, fireplaces or candles.

Prolonged exposure to natural or artificial light and/or moisture may alter the finish color as well.

- Our finished sample is a close color representation of what an overall project will look like and is not meant to match exactly.

The differences are created by the natural characteristics of wood and should be expected.

- We recommend ordering all products you will need to complete your project at one time in an effort to maintain continuity in color, grain, character and finish.

Capital Millwork cannot warrant open joints created by the natural expansion and contraction of natural wood.

- The natural process of wood expanding and contracting can create open joints. An open joint line is not considered a defect and it is widely accepted in the industry. The structural integrity of the joint will not be affected and finishes will only help to protect the surface.

- Wood products expand and contract; thus tolerances have been engineered into all of our wood products which provide an allowance for normal movement in a controlled indoor environment. Stile and rail joints on wood products may open during the yearly heating and cooling cycle and this movement is normal. Capital Millwork cannot warrant uncontrolled factors that damage product.

- Warranty cannot apply to product damaged by misuse, neglect, abuse, natural phenomenon, exposure to moisture or extreme temperatures, exposure to abrasive chemicals, solvents, extreme ultraviolet light, effects of normal wear and tear, products modified in any way, improperly installed, damaged prior to, or during, the installation or installed or utilized in other than normal residential applications.

- Storing products in direct contact with moisture can cause expansion of component parts that is far greater than engineered ranges would normally allow. This expansion can force joints to open and cause permanent joint failure in wood products. We recommend all wood products from Capital Millwork be kept in a controlled environment throughout the year where the relative humidity level is maintained between 30-40% at all times.
